The Infiray Finder FH35R review
Two interchangeable batteries – for particularly long hunting pleasure
What immediately catches the eye is this Size of the FH35R: It is still a compact thermal imaging device that, as a monocular, can be easily operated with one hand and can be easily held in your hand. If you compare it with the FH25R, the Increase in size nevertheless obvious:
| The dimensions of the FH35R | The dimensions of the FH25R |
| 90 x 50 x 160 mm | 70 x 52 x 130 mm |
The reason for this is simple: the FH35R has one larger and removable battery. This can be removed from the side and replaced with a second battery - which is included in the scope of delivery. The advantage of this is quite obvious: the running time of the individual battery is around 6 hours - if you gradually run out of power in the middle of nature, you can carry it second battery as a reserve with you and have an operating life of an impressive 12 hours!
The laser rangefinder – this is how you use it correctly
As with the FH25R, you get one with the FH35R integrated laser range finder. With this function you can determine the target distance precisely up to 600 m, which can be particularly helpful in areas where you rarely hunt or which are unknown to you. With the built-in laser module you have the distance to the game quickly captured so you can better plan how you approach the game.
Important for the FH35R: The thermal imaging camera has a protective cap in front of the lens that is not removable but can be moved to different sides. In order to measure the distance, you must make sure that that this cap does not cover the laser sensor!
As further function the FH35R has a manually adjustable Diopter adjustment, which is beneficial for people who wear glasses. Additionally, a video recorder and 32 GB of digital storage are included, allowing you to take your hunting trip with you Videos and photos to document. Thanks to the integrated WiFi connection and the Infiray You can also view your recordings using the outdoor app upload to smartphone or tablet and share it with your hunting buddies.
Ease of use is key
The keys This thermal imaging device is very intuitive: As you can see in the video Infiray Finder FH35R test can see, the buttons of the device are large and Easy to use with one hand. You can hold the camera on both your right and left eyes. There is also a thread on the device on which there is a Shoulder strap can be attached. This means you can wear the camera around your wrist or attach it to your equipment and always have it within easy reach.
Also worth mentioning is the infrared sensor that powers the camera automatically switches to standby mode switches off as soon as it is no longer used. If you hold it in front of your eye again, the sensor detects this and switches the device on again. This saves the battery and makes manual switching on and off unnecessary.
A level of detail that is second to none
But now to what is probably the most important function that a thermal imaging camera has to perform: the Resolution. Can the FH35R really outperform its sister model, the FH25R, which, as a high-end product, has already set the bar pretty high? See for yourself the recordings in our video: The resolution is great even in bad weather conditions, an Image remains ultra clear and allows for distance absolutely safe response. Above all, you can really experience the game up close - the sharpness of the details makes it possible breathtaking observations Even in the deepest darkness, you can easily capture particularly impressive moments of nature with the recording function.
This level of detail is realized through the 35mm Objective Lens and a sensor that has a Resolution of 640 x 480 pixels has ready. The NETD value is <35 mK, which indicates a very pronounced sensor sensitivity. The FH35R is an absolute winner with a basic magnification of 2,1x Allrounder: Of course, its performance comes into its own particularly well in the field with a Detection range of 1818 m in complete darkness. thanks to the 18 m wide field of view At 100 m it is also suitable for hunting in stock.
