Field of View Calculator
How Wide is the Field of View?
Our "field of view calculator" illustrates the width of a thermal imaging camera's field of view at a given distance. This simulation is designed to help you get a feel for how large the field of view is that you can see through this thermal imaging camera.
How does this work?
Our "field of view calculator" illustrates the width of a thermal imaging camera's field of view at a given distance. Simply select the desired model from the selection field below the calculator. The camera values required for the calculation are automatically taken from our product database (such as the field of view angle). You can enter the distance to the target object using the slider on the left edge. A universal formula calculates the width of the field of view (in meters) and displays it. To get a better visual impression of what causes the change in the values, the surroundings (landscape & deer) change proportionally.
How realistic is this ad?
Above all, the field of view calculator is intended to calculate and show you the width of the field of vision. The visual representation is not to scale. Is the field of vision particularly wide or very narrow? How much of the environment can you see around the target object? This simulation is intended to help you get a feel for how large the section you see through this thermal imaging camera is.
