The features of the Hikmicro Habrok HQ35L in review

What immediately stands out is that the device is very light – probably one of the lightest binoculars available on the market. In this respect, thumbs up! In addition, the device has a lot of setting options. Behind the six buttons, some of which are also double-assigned, there are a handful of functions. This shows that the device can do a lot. We definitely recommend that you try out a Look at the Quick Start Guide to throw.

The batteries are inserted into the bottom of the device. The locking mechanism is familiar from other devices and is quick and easy to use. The lids are fitted with a red locking mechanism and therefore do not fluoresce.

The Habrok HQ35L offers three different channels: a digital and a thermal imaging channel for night vision and a daylight channel for use as binoculars. You can either use the digital channel to get a real night vision image in combination with the spotlight, or use the thermal imaging channel. Both channels can be focused separately by rotating movements, which allows for precise adjustment. In contrast to the Hikmicro Raptor series, which was not yet focusable, the HQ35L offers clear advantages here. The 850 spotlight, which is located centrally in the device, can be also focus intuitively and offers a wide range of applications. Below the spotlight is the laser rangefinder, which provides additional precision.

On the back of the eyepiece you have the diopter adjustment, which can also be adjusted individually for each eye by turning it. Here you can wonderfully balance out and of course you can also adjust the eye width or the eye distance. Handling is top notch.

In addition, the Habrok HQ35L his strengths especially in the forest and on the fieldAlthough the optical channel does not quite reach the sharpness of the new Habrok 4K, the thermal imaging channel is all the more convincing. Ability to switch between image channels, compensates for any optical disadvantage in nature. A clear advantage is the flexibility to observe during the day and at the same time be optimally equipped for the night. The operation is intuitive and the possibility to adjust the intensity of the spotlight is a well thought-out solution, especially in sensitive areas. The integrated tilt sensor also makes handling the rifle much easier.

The Hikmicro Habrok HQ35L offers the possibility to record videos, take photos and measure precise distances with the integrated laser. It has a scan mode and a single measurement that can be easily activated. In addition, the device is app compatible and can be easily connected to Wi-Fi-enabled devices. However, it should be noted that it only a digital magnification offers – it is not an optical magnification. This means that only individual pixels are enlarged. However, as with the Condor series, the Zoom Pro mode can be activated, which optimizes the image calculation. The menu navigation is very user-friendly in the upper menu area, while you first have to orient yourself a bit in the main menu.

The Hikmicro Habrok HQ35L offers a battery life of 6 hours according to the manufacturer, but in practice the actual runtime is about 4 hours – and that without activated WiFi and at temperatures above freezing. It is important to note that the Manufacturer's specifications were determined under ideal conditionsIn normal hunting operation, with frequent switching between standby mode and active use, the maximum operating time was about 4 to 4,5 hours.

With the Habrok HQ35L you get a versatile and powerful device, This is especially true in Forest and on the field plays to his strengths. It offers a robust combination of digital and thermal imaging channels, with the thermal imaging channel being particularly impressive. The flexible image channel adjustment compensates for optical weaknesses, and the ability to observe during the day and be optimally prepared at night makes it a practical companion in the area. The operation is intuitive, and the adjustable spotlight and integrated tilt sensor are well thought-out features that make everyday hunting easier.
