The features of the Infiray IRIS IL35 in review

The Infiray IRIS IL35 is compact, lies perfectly in the hand and weighs just under 330 grams including battery Space in every backpackThe IRIS IL35 impresses primarily with its Convenience and easy handling with consistent high quality, which is why the thermal imaging camera will be of interest to a large number of hunters. In addition, the IRIS IL35 proves that you do not necessarily need many features to have a solid performance to deliver. The device is “only” three buttons integrated, which are occupied at most twice. Especially for hunters who have such Simplicity and intuitive operation appreciate the IRIS IL35 is top!

In addition, the device clearly shows that Infiray the camera has been developed with the user in mind: The Eyepiece rubber can be easily folded away and is adjustable for both eyes, so that both left-handed and right-handed people can easily operate the device. The cover for the lens can be attached directly to the side of the device using a magnet, so that nothing dangles around annoyingly. The USB-C input for the data cable is also integrated on the side of the thermal imaging camera - this allows space for a thread on the bottom of the device, with which you can attach your belt or stalking stick. This small detail makes the Infiray IRIS IL35 therefore not only interesting for us hunters, but also for nature observers between you.

Further important features, which we have for you in Infiray IRIS IL35 Test found include the following:

  • Optimized image with individual setting options: With the IRIS IL35 you can easily adjust your viewing experience to your liking. 10 levels for brightness, sharpness and contrast ensure that you have a perfect view of everything. Various image modes - White Hot, Black Hot, Red Hot, Color and Highlight - allow you to interpret the thermal images according to your taste. Of course, the tried and tested picture-in-picture is also a must, so that you always have an overview.
  • Removable battery system: Many people have wished for Infiray has fulfilled this wish – the Infiray IRIS IL35 is equipped with a removable battery system. This is via a relatively simple mechanism operable: A simple latch that you slide down, simplifies handling of the battery compartment even in the dark and with gloves. The removable battery system does have one small drawback: as soon as a battery is in the device, the battery compartment cover rattles a little - but that's really complaining at a high level and should not spoil your hunting experience in any way. You should just be careful when changing the battery that the rattling doesn't accidentally scare you off.

At this point another important note to those who have only recently started calling themselves hunters or who are dealing with thermal imaging devices: When changing the battery, you must make sure that you Insert the positive terminal of the battery firstThis is not indicated on the device itself and it can be difficult to find your way around, especially in the dark. Therefore: the positive pole should always be at the front!

  • Reality+ mode for a more realistic image: With Reality+ mode you can Improve your hunting experience even further and display the image as realistically as possibleA common problem with thermal imaging devices is that the image looks almost like a painting - this is avoided with the IRIS IL35. With the Reality+ mode, the image is clearer, brighter and still offers sufficient detail. Great!
